We’re looking for someone with prior experience of communicative work that would like to help us with our ambition to create growth within the creative industries of Southern Sweden. Through a beautiful mix of services, workshops, concepts and meetings, we aim to make it easier for people to navigate this ever-changing, digital world of ours.
You work in a small and dynamic team (Community/Collaboration/Competence) in an organisation that is characterized by entrepreneurship and digitalisation at the forefront. The ambition for the team is to make Media Evolution an important platform for innovation and progress. In your role, you will work with sales, EU projects and communication planning, but also with various operational tasks.
We offer a platform with plenty of formats for knowledge-sharing, matchmaking and innovation processes. We also pursue pioneering projects – both locally and globally – in order to create new business opportunities for our members.
We are a small organization with big ambitions. We work with tight deadlines that demands a structured but very flexible and problem-solving mindset. Working at Media Evolution means being adaptive and being able to shift between long-term and short-term projects on a daily basis. Required qualifications
Documented experience or education in leading, structuring or coordinating projects.
Documented experience of working with external communication, i.e. “omnichannel-thinking”.
Knowledge and experience of working with Adobe Creative Suite.
Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish.
Preferred qualifications
Knowledge and experience from participating or planning a EU-project.
Interested in being part of a cluster organisation and know how to navigate in this context.
Comfortable acting as an advisor to our members.
Describe yourself as a “people person” who loves to meet and greet.
Comfortable in public speaking (e.g. seminars and in workshop formats).
Knowledge and experience of planning, producing and implementing events.
About us
Media Evolution started in 2008, as a joint initiative between the private sector, the academy and the public sector to promote the conditions for growth and innovation in the media industries. As time has passed, “media” has grown to incorporate all sorts of organizations dealing with digital development. Today, there are more than 400 of these organizations involved in Media Evolution.
In most cases, we’re not the experts. But our 400 members have shiploads of skills and knowledge. That is why we focus on creating formats and concepts where people can get together to share and collaborate. We organize and curate both big and small events. Small events can be everything from workshops and match-making to our breakfast seminar “World’s Best Morning” and our Friday get-together “Superfredag”. Most of these events take place in our meeting and co-working space, Media Evolution City. It is designed for openness, meetings and functions and is housing nearly 100 companies and 500 humans from across the digital industries.
Apart from these events at Media Evolution City, we also organize larger productions like the annual The Conference and The Festival. They both take place in the end of August, The Conference at Slagthuset and The Festival at various locations all around Malmö.
The Conference is a two-day event where we explore complexity and trends in the digital world. We invite about 40 speakers from all over the world representing a wide range of disciplines. The event production contains 3 stages, several partners and performers, 50 volunteers and over 1000 participants. Another 3000-4000 take part of the full-week idea festival we call The Festival. The latter is best described as 6 days packed with different kinds of events and happenings – from workshops and meetups to parties and skinny dipping, everything organized by members of our amazing community.
